Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to pay for park admission?

No, your Parkbus ticket includes your park admission for the day.

Where does the bus drop off us?

The bus drops you off at the gatehouse, it is a short 1 km walk to the beach from this location. Be sure to wear good walking shoes!

Can I rent anything at Bass Lake?

They offer a small fleet of canoes, stand-up paddle boards and kayaks for rent from the park store on a first-come first-served basis. A security deposit is required, (charged to a credit card with each rental) and you must be a minimum of 16 years of age to rent a boat. Each rental comes with all necessary equipment including Personal Floatation Devices, emergency kits and oars.

Are there any places to buy food?

The park has a small store that is open from the last weekend in June until Labour Day. You should come prepared for your day trip with lunch and at least a litre of water. While the store features items such as ice cream, chips, candy, beverages, stock cannot be gauranteed.

Can I bring pets on the bus?

Unfortunately pets are not allowed on this route (unless they are certified service animals)

Is there bathroom on board? Do you make a stop on the way?

There are no bathrooms on board the school buses we use for day trips. Depending on the duration of the trip, we may offer a 10-15 minute break stop on the way.

Is this a guided trip?

No, this is not a group trip, and what you do once you get off the bus is completely up to you. Please make sure to review all park information prior to your trip and keep track of time so that you don't miss the return bus.
