8:45 AM: Pit stop at Tim Hortons, 1420 Crawford Dr, Peterborough (grab coffee/snacks!).
10:45 AM: Arrive at Petroglyphs Provincial Park.
11:00 AM: Visit the Petroglyphs

  • Explore the protected rock carvings with cultural insights from your guide.

11:45 AM – 3:45 PM: Guided Hike & Lake Adventure

  • Trek the Marsh and West Day Use Trails to McGinnis Lake (1.5–2 hrs, moderate terrain).
  • Learn about meromictic lakes and forest ecology.
  • Complete the scenic Marsh Trail Loop (wildlife viewing en route!).

4:00 PM: Visitor Centre & Gift Shop

  • Browse Indigenous crafts, books, and souvenirs.
  • Reflect on Ojibway teachings in the Learning Place exhibit.

4:20 PM: Board bus for Toronto.
6:30 PM: Arrive back at 34 Asquith Ave.

  • Camera (no photography at petroglyphs, but allowed elsewhere!).
