Trailquest Official Rules

1. Challenge Period

• The Challenge begins on Monday, September 16th, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) and ends on Saturday, March 1st, 2025 at 9:00 p.m. ET.

2. Participation and Registration

• Once signed up, you’ll receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to track your progress.
• Participants must log in to their portal to submit their progress by adding destinations and providing the name of the location along with a photo.
• The locations can be reached either by Parkbus or any other mode of transportation you prefer (biking is another sustainable option).
• Only the 10 listed locations are participating in the competition.
• Participants are responsible for their own safety during hikes and Trailquest activities.
• Always follow local guidelines and regulations when visiting parks and natural sites.

3. Eligible Locations

• Only the 10 designated locations are eligible for the challenge.
• Each location needs to be submitted only once to count towards your challenge progress.
• Up to three photos will be counted towards your points total per destination.

4. Photo Uploads and Usage

• By uploading photos to Trailquest, you grant us permission to use these images for promotional purposes, including on our website, social media channels, and other electronic and print materials related to the Challenge.
• Participants must ensure that the photos they upload are their own and were taken by them during Trailquest activities.
• Uploading stolen or unoriginal photos will lead to disqualification and removal from the leaderboard.
• By submitting a photo, you attest that you are the rightful owner and acknowledge our right to use your submitted photos to promote the challenge.

5. Check-ins and Points

• Points are awarded based on the proximity to check-in locations or based on originality or artistic quality through approved photo submissions.
• Each destination has a maximum number of points available.
• Any abuse of the system will result in penalties, including potential disqualification.

6. Prizes and Winner Selection

• There will be one (1) grand prize available to be won, consisting of outdoor gear and a coupon for a free experience with Algonquin Outfitters.
• One (1) second place prize, consisting of an outdoor gear bundle and 50% off your stay at Wolf Den.
• One (1) third place prize, consisting of an outdoor gear bundle.
• Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not transferable or convertible to cash.
• Winners will be announced at the beginning of March.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

• Your personal information will be securely stored and used solely for Trailquest operations.
• We will not share, sell, or distribute your personal information to any third parties without your explicit consent.

8. Code of Conduct

• Participants must engage in Trailquest activities with respect for others and the environment.
• Any inappropriate behavior, harassment, or damage to natural sites will result in immediate disqualification.

9. Responsibility and Safety

• Participants are responsible for their own safety during hikes and Trailquest activities.
• Always follow local guidelines and regulations when visiting parks and natural sites.

10. Modifications to the Rules

• Trailquest reserves the right to modify these rules at any time. Participants will be notified of any significant changes.
