The Salmon Festival in Highland Creek is a free, family-friendly celebration of nature in the city. Now in its 7th year, The Festival attracts 2000 people who wander deep into the beautiful Highland Creek Valley to see salmon swimming upstream to spawn. Urbanites, newcomers to Canada, photographers, nature lovers and families are all invited to join!

$5 per seat deposit is required and will be withheld for no-shows



Parkbus and ActiveDays are teaming up with Park People and the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority to watch the salmon spawn in Highland Creek and Morningside Park. This is a great way to get outdoors and enjoy the fall.

Urbanites, newcomers to Canada, photographers, nature lovers and families are all invited to join!


The Salmon Festival is designed to be a family event. There will be musical performances, guided walks, a self-guided walking tour, a theatrical performance and more.


Parkbus will be routing one shuttle bus to the event and back. This is a free shuttle. We will be leaving from Toronto (30 Carlton Street, near College subway station) at 10:45am and returning from Morningside Park at 3pm.


PLEASE NOTE: Parkbus will not be providing guides. This is a shuttle to the Salmon Festival. The programming will be provided by the TRCA and Park People.
