Frequently Asked Questions
What if there is no snow? Do you cancel buses because of the weather?
There is a possibility that we will cancel a bus due to weather conditions that make visit to the park unsafe or not enjoyable due to trail closures. We generally make this decisions in consultation with park staff. In case of bus cancellation, we will offer an option of a full refund, or a rebooking to a different date, if available.
Where can we get skis? Will someone help me fit them?
Ski package (skis, poles, boots) rental is included in the price of the ticket. Experienced staff will help you get the right skis
Do I need prior skiing experience?
It's nice, but not mandatory! This is cross-country, not downhill skiing, and since this is night ski, the whole route is fairly flat. The experience would be more like walking through the forest - with your path lit up by the moon (unless it's cloudy!) and by lanterns that are put on trees to show the way!
Are there places to get food?
Not really - though hot chocolate is usually served by a bonefire along the route!
Is this a guided trip? Can I get lost on the trail?
No, but you generally do not need a guide - the trails are well-marked, and sections of trail network will be blocked off so that you don't get lost. Horeshoe staff will assist you with getting right size skis/boots/poles on arrival.
Can I bring my skis/skates on the bus?
Yes! Lots of room.
Are there bathrooms on board the bus?
Yes.
